Last summer I was working on my music for the documentary "Fine Line" by Anna Barsukova. We had created two movies together and both have received many international awards at prestigious film festivals and contests. "Fine Line" is a new documentary about an abandoned village in the extreme north part of Russia. It is about social workers who are helping elderly to experience a better life in a local nursing home. These helpers are my heroes; they are taking care of the residents, making their lives more valuable and happier, sharing with them their love and passion for life. Premier of this documentary took a place in Moscow at the International Festival of Documentary "Doker" at the movie theater "Oktyabr." You can learn more by clicking on this link.
Recently, the movie became a Semi Finalist at the Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF) where participants from more than 120 counties shared their movies with audience. In addition to that, the director of "Fine Line" Anna Barsukova and I were invited to the online interview to share our thoughts and experience with people all around the globe. It was unforgettable moment of my life when I knew that we had been making the difference in our contemporary world which is sometimes so difficult to accept the way it is. However, when creating this film, Anna and I tried to stay on the bright side of it sharing people's stories and making our own one through the prism of music and movie art. Finally, our "Fine Line" became a winner in the category "The Best Featured Documentary" at the prestigious XXV All-Russian Movie Festival named after Shukshin. It was a big event and the award ceremony took place in Altai region (Russia). The documentary was shown in several cities such as Barnaul and Kamen na Obi where viewers had a chance to meet the director of "Fine Line" Anna Barsukova. She was happy to have discussions with the audience and answer all their questions. As a result of this award, the documentary will be shown in more than 16 cities in Russia.
